Wild Coast, wild place
Brad Perks sent this image of a typical river crossing on the pristine Wild Coast on a track from Lupatana to the Mkweni River mouth, better known as ‘Little Goss’ to fishermen. “Here, you find yourself reluctant to disturb the natural tranquillity,” Brad said. He explained the history behind the area: It was rumoured that U-boat crew came ashore here to enjoy a shower and sample local crayfish. This frightened local defence forces and to this day, remains of gun emplacements are still visible on the road to Mkweni. Thanks Brad, for the awesome pic and history lesson!
