Following weeks of social media activity with entrants from far and wide sending in braai pics, recipes and investing in their EasyEquities accounts, the day has finally arrived!
“We can announce who will join Kurt Solomon, EasyEquities braai team leader, and Michael Kaufmann, head of marketing at COSA Media, publishers of Land Rover AFRICA magazine with hundreds of other passionate South Africans on the Jan Braai National Braai Tour,” says Carel Nolte, head of communications at EasyEquities.
“With so many people excited about the state of their finances and their braai fires, we have had a really tough time choosing who will complete our team. Looking at quality and diversity of photo submissions, engagement on the EasyEquities platform, recipes and social media activity, I am delighted that Yusuf Abrahams and Rikus Kok will be exploring our beautiful Garden Route during this year’s Braai Tour.”
In announcing the team, Nolte made special mention of entrant WJ Matthee from the Fulcrum Group. “WJ is a well-known personality on the fishing scene – travelling the world to catch the biggest fish! More than that he loves our country, food and wine and went all out with his entry. Sadly he was pipped at the post but can look forward to a little surprise in his EasyEquities account!”
