Kingsley Holgate, one of Africa’s most colourful modern-day explorers, will give a talk at the Land Rover Cape Town dealership on Tuesday, 29 November, and the community is urged to attend!

Kingsley Holgate, a humanitarian, adventurer, author, TV personality and fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, has travelled to and embraced every country on the African continent and will share tales of adventure of his recent Land Rover ‘Living Traditions’ expedition to Chew Bahir in Ethiopia where he and his crew documented the disappearing tribes of Africa.

What makes Kingsley and his team so unique is their theme of using adventure to improve and save lives through malaria prevention, water purification, Rite to Sight and community conservation education.

With son Ross, Kingsley has completed many world-first challenges, including a Cape Town to Cairo crossing of Africa in open boats, the Zambezi and Congo Rivers, and a circumnavigation of Lake Turkana, the world’s largest desert lake. On his recent expedition to Ethiopia, Kingsley and his crew circumnavigated Lake Chew Bahir in land yachts – another world first!

Kingsley is a renowned storyteller and will enthral you with intriguing tales and some crazy (and often dangerous) encounters with tribe warriors. He’ll also talk about his humanitarian work with locals – not to be missed!

Kingsley’s talk starts at 18:00 on Tuesday (29 November 2016). Entrance is free, but bookings are essential. Contact Land Rover Cape Town on +27(0)21 413 9810 for more information. Visit
